Planet-Friendly ‘Biodegradable’ Sanitary Pads

Normal (plastic) pads have become one of the prime sources of pollution. There are millions of non-biodegradable
sanitary napkins rotting in the landfills in India. These sanitary pads are the main contributors to plastic pollution as their contents include 90% plastic.

However, over the past couple of years, some brands have revolutionalized pads by working on substitutes for the usual sanitary pads - biodegradable napkins

Suppliers claim these products to be produced from organic cotton and environment–friendly products. While they come at a higher price point, these products use natural raw materials, are better for our well-being and far less destructive to the planet. It's high time that one gets conscious about the environment and switch to an eco-conscious brand for pads or tampons as a choice.

To help make your choice easier, we have come out with a list of a few of the recommended biodegradable sanitary padsbiodegradable sanitary pads.
